Anterior surface of pubis, just inferior to the pubic tubercle

Insertion/Distal Attachment

Medial lip of linea aspera on middle third of femur

Action/Relevance

Innervation

Obturator nerve (L2, 3,4)

Notes

Large fan shaped m in the same plane as pectineus

Arises from a flattened C shape tendon and then extends to a fleshy broad body

Inserts between vastus medialis and add magnus and brevis.

Lies superficial to add brev and magnus medial to pectineus and lateral to gracilis.
